Restaurant reservations script

I'm building a website and although not a restaurant that's the easiest way to explain what I'm looking for; a calendar which shows 1.5 hour time slots as bookable or not bookable. Preferably shows an entire week (so if you want 5pm you can see which days have that available) and then the usual JS way of going forward to next week etc.

I know PHP relatively well in that I think I could do the backend of this but my JS is terrible. I also know there's a few paid for scripts out there, or free ones (with adverts/the name of the script etc), but as this isn't actually a restaurant they don't suit and/or I don't want to pay!

Any pointers on the front end and how it could pull data from a backend?

Do you even need much JS? Without using an existing calender, couldn't you just hide and shows divs for each week/day?

Yeah I guess a fair amount, certainly an interactive calendar with correct dates etc and that populates a field/is selectable along with the rest of the form.

Certainly more than I could code from scratch anyway.

Take a look at fullCalendar.js I have used it and it's very good. If you need any help with it trust me.

Yeah I came across that on my travels. Would it allow a user to select an available event? I can't see that functionality by default on their website.
