Right,

I upgraded my hd to a 250gb from an 80gb using superduper for the backup. Restored using superduper and all is good. The problem I have now is that I cannot use bootcamp. It wont let me. I have been using the macbook for about 8 months and dont want to have to start from square one.

I need to get vista and visual studios on a bootcamp partition, please help!!

OK, we need a more descriptive description of the fault. "It won't let me" isn't enough.

Describe exactly what you've done and what response you get from the Mac when you run the Boot Camp Assistant.

Sorry matey, the message says 'backup the disk and use disk utility to format as a single mac OS extended(Journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using boot camp assistant again'

The drive is already formatted as mac OS extended(Journaled) so I dont know whats going on. Any help would be much appreciated.

What's the Partition Map Scheme? Open Disk Utility, select the drive and the info is in the bottom right hand corner.

I believe that's the problem, it should be GUID.

If you've still got the 80Gb drive, restore from it onto the new one again, but reformat the new drive with a GUID Partition Table first.
