Restoring a VM to Baremetal

This weekend I need to rebuild a server which has multiple issues which can't easily be resolved, the network is only a small one and for speed, I have decided to reinstall the OS and create a new AD etc.

My question is, if I do all the preparation on a KVM, then run Windows Server Backup, should I then be able to use System Image Recovery to restore it onto physical hardware without issue? The only thing I would be cautious about would be that the physical machine is running an LSI Megaraid controller in a RAID 5 configuration, would the restored image boot, or should I somehow pre-install the Megaraid drivers in the KVM first?

If I only have the one license for server 2016, how does that work if I have to run server core with Hyper-V and then the guest ?
