As per title.

All was well when I was using 2009. Then 2010 came along. I can't go back to 2009 as I'm using a student version, in which they force you to update to the latest version when your license expires.

I managed to import my UI settings from 2009, then had a serious PC issue, and had to reinstall everything. I've since lost all my UI settings, so can't import them.

I cannot stand using ribbons, they're driving me spare. I need toolbars back.

My version of AutoCAD doesn't have the 'Classic' view as an option, so I'm going to have to do this the hard way. I've tried following online guides, and been stumped by them thus far. Is there a simple way of doing this?

Cheers

The command is: WSSETTINGS
Or right click the toolbar > AutoCAD > Workspaces

..to change between Classic, 2D, 3D etc.

Right, I think I've found a solution. Pretty ham-fisted, but seems to work.

-Enter 'CUI' in the command line
-Click on the 'Transfer' tab at the top of the CUI pane
-Left click on the '+ Toolbar' button
-Now right click the '+ Toolbar' button, select 'New toolbar' and create as many as you require, naming them as appropriate
-Small toolbars sould appear on the drawing area (stacked on top of one another). Right click these, and select 'Customize'.
-Drag and drop the required commands from the CUI Command list to the newly created toolbar, selecting the group of commands you want to use from the drop-down box (for ease of selecting the commands)

That seems to work for me.
