So I was trying to upgrade to Windows 10 but did a fresh install by mistake (I selected the OS partition in the install menu)

How can I now recover back to Windows 8...it should have left the recovery partitions alone I think.

Is it the 32GB T10-0TA with a hidden 8GB recovery drive, or the 64GB version with the recovery partition?

you need to repoint Reagent at the recovery.

It happened to me a long time ago, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. I installed ubuntu and android, and it killed my recovery link.

Do a search for:

C:/Windows/System32/Reagentc /SetREImage

..and that'll point you in the right direction. Alternatively:

1) download a windows 8 ISO
2) install using the serial underneath your tablet
3) upgrade to windows 10 to register the free upgrade to your hardware
4) do a fresh win10 install after that

I think this will probably be easier, however, where do I find the right Windows 8 ISO for the T100?

If you've done the step where you set the recovery image:

reagentc /setosimage /path T:\RecoveryImage /target C:\Windows /index 1

..then you should be able to boot into the proper asus recovery and restore the official 8.1 image :)
