Restoring from a disk image

Is it possible to restore a device in Win10 with a disk image pulled from an identical device. Would there be activation issues?

why not just do a clean install of W10 using the tool?

The reason I don't want to clean install is that I'm looking at doing this to multiple devices. I bought a Win10 tablet at work to test, and I'd now like to deploy 10-15 of them. It would be much quicker to restore them all from a master image than to set them all up individually.
