Restoring lost Photos from deletion.

Hi guys,

Heres the situation. I have lost all the photos from this year in my iPhoto library. I have had to run a RAW recovery for these files. Fortunately I have managed to scavenge most of them. My file names however are all over the place. It looks like the metadata is intact.

Are there any software solutions that can rebuild these photos with a file name that maybe uses the date so I can get some day to day structure of these revered files?

Lightroom will be able to do what you need.

I imagine the best way would be to import them all into one catalog, then apply a custom filename such as (date)-(original filename). That will at least get them all in the correct order. From there you can work your way through exporting them into different folder locations.

EDIT : Infact ignore that suggestion, simply importing them into lightroom will do the trick, then in library module, sort images by capture date. That way you can still just keep your original filenames. Work your way through them selecting groups of images and export them to different folder locations until you get to the end.
