Just had a knock on the door and a bloke apologising for hitting and breaking the mirror on my civic, due to another cretin who didn't slow down or pull in to make space. Firstly, I was simply stunned that someone was honest enough to stop and let me know, but he went on to say he was a mechanic and he could order a new part for me tommorow. I've told him that I would be happy with a good s/h mirror if he can find one.
This was shortly after a double glazing salesman rang up to tell me they had a half price sale, and when I stated my scepticism of these companies marketing tactics, he fully admitted that they double the price of the quote first (as everyone knows anyway) and went on to say how much he earned in commision and hourly rate (not a lot ) and why I should never get finance from a window company but should go to my bank.
My visions of the world being full of scum is crumbling around me....
