as per the title,

gpedit.msc 'prevent access to drives from my computer' does it for all users, but i want to apply it to a specific group of users..

How can i do this?

W7 let's you define local group policy on a per computer or per user/group basis.

You need to load an empty mmc snap-in then add the group policy object. When you do you'll be given the choice of loading it for this computer, another computer or for users

Obviously this will only apply to W7 pro and upwards I think. Don't believe home premium has group policy editor in it?

Yeah not a problem on enterprise. If this computer is on a domain then you should be using group policy via active directory as mrbell was hinting at rather than local group policy

Well the mmc snap in goes to the same area that the grpedit.msc ive already listed and that only allows you to change the setting for the entire computer and not individual users :/
