Make sure the disk that you want to copy to is called 'Protected'. Code: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Protected --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app --nointeraction

Fab! I would be tempted to make the latest version installer via my method. It's far easier if you need to install in the future as a clean install.
