Decided to lap my cpu and TRUE this week. started with 600 grit working through to 2000 grit. Previous highest load temps @3.6ghz i recorded running p95 were 68-68-62-62 (few months ago when it was warmer) now that its a bit cooler ive managed to drop a fair bit off them.:)Unfortunately though i still have a bit of variation between different cores.:( Lapping was done on a glass top table to ensure a good even surface, but i may try the washer method to see if this will make any difference.

Load temp screeny.

At least its a bit of an improvement:). Would have been nice to get them a bit more even though. Also managed to get my voltage down a bit as well, which is always nice.

That looks good. You've dropped a fair amount. How about on IDLE?

Good speed for a Q6600 too. What kind of cooling you using?

I've for my Q6600 running at 3.22ghz IDLE speeds of 44C full load close to 62C.
Currently idling at 28-25-25-23. Cooled by a TRUE black and 2x2000 rpm sharkoon silent eagle fans in push/pull. Waiting on another 3 of the same fans from oc to replace the 1300 rpm yate loons that are used as my intake and exhaust fans.
