Retail 1 user and OEM

What's the difference? I know OEM can only be used on one machine only and I assume the retail 1 users means it can only be on one PC at one given time. As in if my PC dies I can legally install it on a new PC.

Is this correct?

There seems to be so many topics about the difference between OEM and Retail. Can't OCUK add a bit of text to the top of the Windows forums about it. hahaha.
