Just bought a Amd 64 dual core processor, i will not be overclocking it, so is it worth buying a new heatsink / fan or stick with the retail.

My main concern is that the comp is near i radiator which is OK now but during the winter can get a little warm.

Cheers

The problem will be that no matter what fan/HS you use, it will be trying to cool your hardware using cool air, move the PC away from the radiator if you can.

Agree.

Stock HSF is more than capable (@ stock) & is very quiet especially if you have C'n'Q on since the fan's thermally controled :)
