Retail vs OEM prices

Depends on what I'll be missing from buying an OEM over retail, but I'll happily spend ~£15 more for 2+ more years of warranty.

Retail every time.

You may save a tenner or so on OEM, but you lose two years warranty, a protective box, a very good paperweight (heatsink), and more than £10's resale value. OEM is a false economy.

99% of the time the heatsink will be a paperweight as we would buy our own coolers but its saved my bacon before when I needed a cooler in an emergency

Cool, retail for me then as i'd prob. want to sell it in a year or so when I upgrade and having warranty left on it is good for the buyer. Although, I've had my Q6600 for such a long time. I hope to upgrade much sooner this time.

Cheers :)
