Retail windows 10 on a new upgrade

If i purchase a new mobo and cpu will I have any issues using my old windows 10 licence from my old machine? I still have the retail kit with usb and security key. I remember issues some years ago when people had to replace failed mobos and got locked out of windows. Is this still a issue or do you just have to suck it up and buy a new license?

just enter your key again when it says windows isn't activated (cause of hardware change) and that should be it. should do a fresh install though when changing mobo etc imo. key will activate with new hardware either way.

If you tie the key to your MS account it should be very straight forward.
