I have a Thermalright HR-03 (massssive heatsink) on my 8800GTX. The card sags in my Lian LiV1000+II and there is no inbuilt expansion card retention mechanism. Are there any aftermarket ones... that say screw into other nearby PCI slots and provide a little help? Nothing as elaborate as the A77's... (http://www.vortez.co.uk/contentteller/articles_pages/lian_li_pc_a77f_review,4.html)
I am sure it won't fail and snap... it just looks off =)

Will add pics when I get home. Any tips?

You could always fashion a bracket and hold it up with a plastic bolt or something. Or use some cable ties.

There was an announcement of a Powercolor card jack, which is an adjustable brace. Looks rubbish though.

I'd just get a piece of aluminium or delrin rod, then cut to the correct length, then either screwed to the top of the case and to a hole on the card, or from the bottom to the card.

Thanks Marvin... ha! Didn't realise this was so widespread an issue.

Does that jack adhere... my V1000 is upside down so it would be stuck on the ceiling.... - or displace from something below.

*ponders*
