Retirement drinks

Ahhh I've just got back from 1 and 1/2 hours in the pub celebrating/comiserating (I'm not actually sure which) one of the Drawing office employees leaving have had 3 pints o Guinness and am feeling rather good about the rest of the day is this normal upon somone retireing?

Yes. It's not uncommon for decent sized parties as well.

We just got back from pub lunch and someone is having leaving drinks after work, bonus!

I think the alcohol may have something to do with your euphoria

A girl from out place left to day, not retirement but a new job, and we decided to 'celebrate' with a few pints at dinner. Can't beat a few cold Hobgoblins to make the afternoon slip by.
