Hi,
My sons Hudl2 took a fall and the screen is now cracked yet still displaying, but won't recognise any inputs. Quotes to repair it are £95 yet a new one is currently £99, so a new one has been bought. However my son is gutted that he has lost his game saves.
The guy at Hudl support said I should be able to copy the files off the Hudl using Windows, but it won't allow any data to be transfered unless the device is first unlocked. This seems to ring true. When I power it up and connect it to Windows, I can see a device Hudl listed but it has no files.
A search on Youtube has revealed that I may be able to use a mouse to control the Hudl and unlock it via a USB to OTG adapter.
Before I order and wait for this to arrive, does anyone know if this approach will work or if its a waste of time? Or if there is another way to get these files without unlocking the Hudl?
Any advice appreciated!
