I just received a file of someone, only for MSN to tell me that the file is unsafe (it's an mp3) and so it won't let me use it. I can't find the file in the directory. Does MSN actually delete the file or is there a way I can get it back somehow?

I think if you can find the file, and right click it, select properties, then you should find an option there to "unlock" the file.

Never seen it move the file before though.

It's deleted. You can right click it > properties > and UNBLOCK.

You can also declare your anti virus to MSN, it'll scan each incoming file but wont delete it.

i had this problem a few weeks ago :(

if the person is sending you a mp3 /zip

when it says file recived dont click it - msn will auto delete it

you have to go to my recived files select the file right click it > properties > and UNBLOCK.

it was really annoying :(

Its retarded, it wont let you send .exes because it says they may be a virus, so I've had to delete the extension to send them.
