Wow they look amazing, I'd definitely buy them if they remade games to look like that! Especially Love the Zelda and Sonic ones.
 
I can easily imagine the Mario ones, particularly Yoshi's Island, being done in that style some day by Nintendo.
 
Games companies would make a fortune I am sure re-releasing top games with graphics like these, I know I would buy the old mario games...

2d was and still is best for platformer's (I make a new word then by mis-typing flatformers), when sonic went 3d, it went crap.

Aye, it's one of the main reasons i was so excited about Little Big Planet, a high profile return to traditional platforming.

I've said for years if Sega re-released the Sonic trilogy remastered in HD i would snap it up. They don't even need to redo any of it, just make it a higher resolution. Fortunately the Sonic series look pretty fit on the PSP using an emulator so that'll tide me over until Sega come to their senses and do what i tell them.
