Retro console and games thread

Twin Bee I'm sure I played that in the arcade. I think the ship had two hands and you throw shots instead of firing them up the screen. :D I think he my have stared in one or more of the Parodius shmups too.


It was a long time ago though.
 
currently VERY happy boy. just stuck my head on bay and found this with 3 mins left and one bid on it. won for £6.20 delivered....Yes! on of best games on console!

VERY good call. online mp v3 style micro machines. they would need to cut and paste the "random victory" code from old games tho lol
 
Got a nice supprise yesterday off my mate, who really added to my new collection, all consoles work too just need a bit of a clean. not sure what playstation to keep different models ones a SCPH-5552 and the other is a SCPH-9002.

I've have Samurai Shodown, Art Of Fighting, Super Sidekicks 2, King Of Fighters 94 and 96. On There way. Sounds expensive but MVS games are more affordable and on top of that if the game isn't to rare you can pick em up for a tenner. Find some one that's not greedy. Example don't by of Ebay as pretty much everyone selling games on there thinks things are worth more than they actually are. :D
 
did you not just fancy a cabinet? by the time you spent money on all that you could have just bought a cabinet,i got mine for £70 but its needs abit of work,i have seen working ones go for £200
 
Nice MVS game, should be a lot of fun. :)

I think I'm going to be selling much of my collection as I simply don't play on them anymore, and I'd rather someone enjoyd them than them being stuck in a cuboard.

Anyone got any recommendations on where to look for collectors who may be intereseted, apart from that obvious auction site? :)
I'd do it on here but don't have enough posts for MM.

Currently I have:

Neo Geo AES - JAP - 8 games, mem card, two joysticks, Scart etc.

Saturn - Jap, a fair few games including many of the good shmups + pad and joystick.

Megadrive (pal model 2 but region mod/60hz) - many pal and Jap classics including many shmups (running theme here!).

Gamecube + games

Snes + games (fair few boxed)

PS1 (slim) + many games

PS2 + many games

It would be sad to see them go but really, when you never play them and are purely collecting without the room to even display them, then it becomes a bit pointless. :) (besides, they'll go towards a new PC from here - lol)

It could be advertised on AV Forums, plenty of Retro stuff there, no post/membership time limit before advertising (AFAIK) ;)
