Retro console and games thread

That's what I thought. I've messaged the user asking to double check the model, could be that he/she used a random picture.
Another auction has popped up a 15 miles closer to home but it this user wants more for it, about £40 and would take the auction down if I agreed to it and picked it up saturday. Tempting indeed, thinking perhaps a no brainer.
 
i think as far as a crt is concerned for gaming the pd30 is worth 40 quid all day long. mate paid 400 quid second hand for his back in the day lol

I'm picking it up saturday! But my s-video cable and expansion pak arrived today :D
Will put up pics once I get it all set up!
 
anyone dabbled with 3rd party 6 button pads for md? for 3.99 inc delivery thought i miggt have a go if any good

I would love to play that game on a real machine again.

I have so many memories of playing it on a family holiday in Magaluf around about 1996, the hotel arcade was fantastic! I remember playing that for the first time and loving how fast paced and over the top it was. I especially loved the first person style targeted shots you could pull off :cool:

Thinking back to that arcade, did anyone else here play Captain Commando? That was such a screwy scrolling beat'em up! I just remember being confused over the fact you could control a baby in a mech suit! :eek:
I think i tended to play as the ninja though. I remember being shocked (but in a good awesome kind of way) that you sliced the enemies in half, I had never seen that done in the genre of game before :D
 
Saving for a Japanese candy style cabinet for my Neo Geo. I hear the candy cabinets are easy to disassemble and reassemble. Which sold make it easier to get up a couple of floors to my apartment. :D

An original Super Sidekicks 2 only cost me £9 for the Neo Geo MVS. I thought I'm having that. :D
