I had one of those first time around to play R Type. I could never understand why they put the buttons on the opposite side to the original controllers.
 
On the topic of 80's computers, who actually preferred or had a green screen monitor? For me Dizzy 1 actually looks more creepy and fits the scene with a green screen :)

Really love reading through this thread. I need to pull my finger out and get in the loft. I have an original PS2 and PSOne with a bin liner full of games, an N64 with multiple games and an original mega drive.
 
Was just watching another dizzy video on youtube yesterday. Remembered the music straight away. I used to play that on my cousins NES oh and that duck hunt game :)
 


Been going nuts on ebay, StarWing was £6 fully boxed :D

Donkey Kong Country 2 was £14, I got too into the bidding and it's only the box and cart (no manual or intray sadly though they can be sourced in the future). Still pleased as it's on the list of games I want to play through (need to get 1 and 3).

Also spent a fiver on boxed pilot wings and 14 on boxed mario kart.

Think I need to turn off ebay and stop buying boxed snes games...

Lucky Dim and Golden Axe Warrior are a must for any sega master system collection. I had them both back in the days.

Golden Axe Warrior is on the Sega Collection on the PS3 as an unlockable special, I finished it again without knowing, as I booted it up the other day.

Fully boxed Mega Drive II in excellent condition with both controllers and 4 games. It even still has the (rather thick) manual. Currently hooked up to my TV via RF (took an age to tune in) which looks terrible. I will look out for a scart / composite AV lead in the near future.

PingWing - Those Snes games are mint, and a good find that those prices too :)

Yup, I can remember borrowing it off a friend when I was younger. I always remember having my backside handed to me by the "whip" ladies.

I managed to scrape past the first "boss" last night with one life remaining. So much fun though! :D

I played a bit of sensible soccer and oh dear I suck at it!

Altered Beast is comically bad.
 
I can't believe what I found out yesterday, been with the gf for about 8 years and I just find out that for all these years the items below have been stuffed away in a cupboard..

Thoroughly tested last night to make sure everything was working :)

I love it when you find stuff like that, especially when you are convinced it has been sold / disposed off.

Glad you are happy, fantastic Consoles, look out for an RGB Cable, the image quality is fantastic, if it's anything to go by what they do with the MD1!

- I've just bagged another for some fun on Sonic 1 + 2! I just can't live without a good fix of everyones favourite Blue Hedgehog!

When I get bored have a look on MM Consoles for it guys!

I had a Saturn when I was 14 or 15, never sold it, installed a 50/60hz switch while at Uni had about 30 games including my favourite Guardian Heroes, left it at my folks place when I moved out.

Recently went to pick it up only to find out it along with everything else in their loft had been skipped :(
 
So master system is all cleaned up and tested this morning, works a treat :) built in alex kidd is awesome!!

Also my DS disaster is over! Friend at work bought a 3ds yesterday so I came in to a suprise on my desk this morning...free boxed ds lite :) as she wont use it anymore......bingo!

Very nice! I've been off the retro crack for a while. Latest pick up was Dark Cloud on the PS2, but some psychotic person attempted picking off the printing off the disc. Heart breaking but it only cost me a quid!

Tempted to pick up a 3DS..worth it?
