Retro console and games thread

I once turned down 2 new Gameboy Advance SPs. The NES and Zelda limited editions. :( £2.99 new each, where I worked! (Blockbuster a few years back)

As daft as it may sound now, I was pretty broke at the time so had to count every penny. Really wish I'd bought them though! Still regret it massively now.

In all honesty, you are a fool haha. But I wish I kept hold of or bought many things as well!

As for the GBA Micro, not a fan, it's far too small for extended use. Any more than 30 minutes and it's impossible.

picked up a boxed mint saturn mrk 2 i think a s it has the round buttons ? i could be wrong and sega rally :) all for £29 also picked up a scrat lead from the bay as it came with a rf unit :/ , not sure if i payed to much but its looks like new. still has the orignal books/cable tie things / and bags.

Hey I hope some one can help.

I'm moving into a new flat in about a months time and i've had permission from the other half to have the spare room as a games room! :D My idea is to try and pick up a decent CRT so I can have some of my older consoles hooked up to it.
Now my question is... What TV do you guys recommend? I can remember someone saying a while back that the Panasonic PD30 is one of (if not) the best CRT TVs available.

Ideally I would like component output so I can hook the PS2 up to it so the PD30 does seem to fit the bill in that respect.

Oh needless to say, Yes, there will be pics when i've got the room the way I want it :D

been buying more crap from car boot,Rummaging around in and found some game cube stuff guy wanted £1 each couldn't say no to that, i have never seen a wheel or a joystick for the game cube before.Tje joystick is very heavy and has a real nice movement to it.I am hoping it might work with rougue squadron :)

Then i found these in a shop called Cash generator i pass it all the time and never thought htey would have old games in but they had some decent stuff, they had about 10 mega drive games 49p each , they had one game £4.99 called Second Samurai. I just bought 5 of the 49p games the others had battered boxes and were just games like sonic 1

then i spotted this in the glass cabinet with the newer consoles like 360's and ps3s and 3ds stuff but they had this for £11.99 with 2 games, screen is abit scratched but i thought just for the games its worth the cash

Thanks for the ads in those magazines, I'm going to try some SNES WWF action tonight. :D :D

Oh and T2: Judgement Day is such a solid game.

I also tried out the SNES version of Ghould N Ghosts, DO NOT WANT! Nothing like the Megadrive version.

I do love all this retro stuff though.
