Retro console and games thread

just find the local carboots and flea markets and such in your areas help the aged , oxfam and the like. avoid game shops as theyll double up on what they get in anyway.

most games and stuff to do with retro consoles is easy to find and buy still as its not like there wernt many sold like snes for eg with marios sold over 20 million units :p people tihnk they have gold dust when they are pretty common and its only like rearly rare stuff that fetches a lot of money.
 
Yeah,I know what your saying Dg tbh i don't really know where there are any good carboots around here because i've never really been to one :o.I do keep intending going to town to look in charity shops but always walk passed them in embarrassment, don't know why maybe just the stigma attached to them.

On the upside i just got a Pearl White Gamecube from Gumtree.Unfortunately only came with a purple controller not the matching one.Can't complain for the price though as it came with 2 games aswell.

I have visited Game Place a few times but only found rubbish with regards to retro gaming.

Game On is like stepping into a time warp back to 1999. It is very nostalgic and prices are OK I suppose, but expect no bargains.
I find Game On annoying in that he puts meaningless advertisements on Gumtree so any searches for SNES, retro, Mega Drive etc. always comes up with his crap.
 
Some Japanese PS1 goodies for me! I'm a huge fan of fighting games and love Dead or Alive and Soul Calibur/Edge/Blade series. I have a copy of the PAL Soul Blade which I have had since release but fancied the 60Hz full screen uncensored version :D

Annoyingly Dead or Alive doesn't work properly using an Action Relay to boot imports due to its CD audio track and mismatching CD TOC from the PAL boot disc :( Works fine in epsxe though ;)

Another addition to my Dreamcast collection, if you like Japanese DC stuff check out DreamcastGAGA, the prices are good and the condition of the products are immaculate!

I love Garou, I'd love to get a consolised Neo Geo MVS and the original arcade cart at some stage when finances allow:)

If you can get me an 8mb memory card to back my saves up the xbox is yours tbh. Clears some space for me :)

1 controller and decent scart cable + copy of halo
