Retro console and games thread

Dead jealous, always been tempted by the Omega, maybe 1 more blown MVS board and I might cave in. :p
BTW how's that joypad handle? Still using my AES and CD control sticks.

:D its an awesome bit of kit, really well made and works a treat. This one has the Virtual Memory Card added as well which is a nice touch so my high scores save.

The CD pad is extremely nice to use, it has a microswitched thumbstick like on real arcade sticks and makes playing any of the games, especially fighters a pleasure. I would recommend one, I picked mine up from Jamma X Nation since they are properly refurbished and guaranteed to work. Shipped from the states was still cheaper than ebay and you know it will work fine.

i'm sorry, what?

Yep, she's being sold cheap on multiple sites, collection only!

Keeping the A1200 instead and all the games :D

Neil. Hows the condition of the A500?
Is this on MM here? Amibay?

EAB - Marketplace  ( Kent collection )

Condition, slightly yellowed with no damage and box in good condition as well. No mouse, have tested and working great!

EDIT : Looks like I may have just sold it for Sunday pick up :D WIN! :D

Today's pickups.

Saturn, Actua joystick, 3 pads, loads of games (yes I know Doom is upside down :p), 2 demo games. Everything works and all games have booklet - £30.
Afaik games are complete. I did not check I was fed up with the charity shop manager wanting to check Ebay.
A point I feel I must make is that whilst PS1>Saturn (pretty obvious) I find the Saturn loading times pretty good. Also Saturn game boxes >>>>> PS1. They are FAR stronger.
Apparantly Panzer Dragoon II (not Saga) is a rare ish find. Also King Of Fighters '95 with the rom cart and thicker box.
I have never played with an arcade style pad before and it really does work well!

Rainbow Six and Crash Bandicoot on PS1 - £1 each. Both with manuals in good boxes.

Absolute bargain on the saturn! lovely :) king of fighters is worth £40+ alone if its complete

Some real other gems in there too not to mention the official boxed cable and arcade stick. Literally that could be find of the thread lately for what you paid - further edit, is that highway 2000 in there as well?

Just found this on ebay - http://ebay.us/iVJmjk appears batman is rare as too

Andy - I would maybe have a word with seller around that if he didnt say its a reprint cover, bit annoying :(. saying that finding the game in the first place is a real rarety

nice recent collections there guys, love the OMEGA system, I never heard of that before, so that's an MVS board made to look like an AES system?

nice Sega Saturn collection OpenToSuggestions

phatboy, nice Mega CD disc collection there !

Seems to be a sea of bargains out there at the moment that people are getting hold of :)

I somehow won a complete copy of mega cd batman returns for £2.70 + postage last night....normally hits 10-15 quid :)

Yeah the Omega has a 1999 SNK MV-1C MVS 1 Slot motherboard at its heart. It was the last and smallest board SNK released for the MVS and the best one to use in a console due to being a top loader. Quan at Arcade Works build these and includes, the Neo Bios Masta Board so you can use a socketed UniBios 3.2, Stereo sound mod, video encoder, and a virtual memory card so you can save progress in certain games. It is a quality product and I'm loving every second of owning one. Sadly the prices of MVS carts is creeping up and up like most retro platforms, although its stay WAY more affordable than an AES, plus its kind of cool have the real arcade hardware in my living room

Added 2 more for that pic now. Won mint rebel assault for £6 posted and got a disk only copy of bc racers for £3 lol
