 I didn't know there was a DS9 game?!!?!?!?!!?

Need to get it on the SNES or get a mega drive for it!!!

Well this showed up today.

My original Asian Mega Drive was pretty beat up cosmetically and was really getting on my nerves. I saw this on the bay and managed to win it for £16

Original Japanese Gen 1 Mega Drive, Original 6 button pad, Original UK PSU and RGB Scart lead. The console is in excellent condition hence me bidding on it. Already removed the cart lock mechanism to allow the PAL carts to fit. Just need to do the Jailbar fix and all's well. :D

Totally unrelated but how much was your Famicom AV if you don't mind me asking? Seem quite expensive on Ebay and Amazon resellers.

I think i paid just under £70 shipped from japan off ebay mate. That was with 2 original dog bone controllers.

Keep an eye on the seller hit-japan. He usually has good condition units show up on his store.

not sure if retro ?

Just dusted off my wii in order to play some old GC titles, came across a component lead in a bargain bin @ game along with a third party GC pad both 50p each.

whilst mooching around I picked up skyward sword and kirby's epic yarn at argos, SS was £9.99 and kirby was £6.

SS looks incredible via component, very happy bunny considering

oh and I feel exactly the same excitement now as I did when i first played OOT on my N64

Sorry fella's should have been clearer, the composite cable was a wii one sadly not a GC one, still has made a massive difference to the GC titles.

SSX 3 looks so crisp now

oh and SS is amazing

Was it an official GC component cable? Those things can go for silly money.

that was my first thought, if it's official, you are in for the surprise of your life!

Yeah unfortunately PAL never got component enabled GC's. We only had SCART RGB enabled GC's, so no component cables were sold in PAL territories. Component was still very uncommon over here at the time and only top end TV's could process a 480p signal.

The easiest and cheapest way to do it is to just use a Wii with the component cable. Most games support 480p and there are some native 16:9 too.

I think C64 owners are going to be all a jizz over what I've just got in the post for review ;)

It's a brand new SD2IEC with a feature that is a first for C64 owners :D
