that is an amazing collection Neil, just keeps getting better :)

DEL that find of megadrive and SNES is just fantastic too....Cyborg Justice was epic!

I just managed to pick up a complete copy of Cauldron 2 for the speccy which I was rather chuffed with :)

I have no purchases to post but tomorrow I will have a clean SNES to post!! I am already using it as an ornament but will clean it up as I do plan on using it :)

Some technical help please, I think the contacts in the cartridge slot might need cleaning or replacing on my SNES as pretty much every game has to be inserted a couple of times before the console will "see" it.

:(
Anyone able to advise please?

Most of the time it is just the gunk that has built up on the cart that stops them working rather than the console. I pretty much had to sandblast the contacts on my Earthworm Jim cart to get it working reliably. Any other cart i had that didn't work i just use a dry cotton bud to rub over the contacts to get the dirt off (you may be surprised how dirty the cotton bud will get) . There are other methods people use that i see on youtube such as cotton bud + a bit of Isopropyl or taking apart the cart and use a pencil eraser.

After several weeks waiting (and being caught by customs ) my shockboxes have finally arrived.

Now I just need to move around my shelves to make room for them. :D

Can you point me in the direction for these? I have a few carts that need shock boxes.

Thanks, have just cleaned them all.
I Used camera lens cleaning fluid, you would not believe how black the cotton buds were after each one...I then cleaned the inner slot of the console the same way, ditto bloody filthy.

All working 100% now

Thank you
Haaaaruuuuken (SF2 is playing as we speak).

Here's the seller http://southtown-homebrew.com/index.php?cPath=170

Only real pain is the delivery charges, I've yet to find a regular supplier that sells them in the UK/Europe.

I can see you've already got your SNES up and running, but a great little product I use is DeoxIT D5, it is amazing the amount off dirt you can get of cartridge contacts, swear 1 or 2 of Neo Geo carts had entire ecosystems living on them. :p

Another good tip for cleaning cart contacts is to first use a standard eraser then some cleaning solution to clean the contacts.

The eraser does a good job of lifting stubborn corrosion stains and marks from the contacts

Load of stuff turned up this week, including my new Snes RGB cable, so I finally got to play the games I recently purchased.

Was great firing up Zelda.

Who are Abi, Rich and Jon? Where are they now?

Sadly at least 1 of these profiles will have to go.

I'm sorry Abi, but the world will never forget how bravely you fought to free Hyrule!

Next up, a must have for any Snes owner!

Still got the moves. ;)

Some more Mega Drive games.

And finally some Neo Geo MVS.

These last 2 make me question if people actually test their stuff before they flog them on ebay, because they both took some SERIOUS cleaning before either of them worked.

Also had a load of universal game cases turn up, but havn't worked out how to print out the labels properly yet.
