Shes now asking £40

Im like dg , buying to sell really :p
ill get more details if you guys tell me a price its worth

Most of it looks garbage tbh. 2x Portals of Power for Skylanders, 1 of which looks borked + 6 mics for Singstar? or something and some accessory for for PS3 possibly a stand judging from tiny photo.

No power cables?.Can't remember but i think the psu for Dreamcast is built in but honestly don't remember what the connection is, PS2 fat is a standard figure 8 lead. N64 had a proprietary psu so may need to get one from the bay/amazon.

Also hard to tell but the N64 looks as though it doesn't even have a jumper pak in the expansion. I'm not 100% sure about it but may not start up without one. Also looks as though is been chewed by a dog above the reset button nearest the PS2 (could just be dusty?)

I'm not saying it isn't worth it but maybe a pain to get some of the other bits.

On the plus side the Dreamcast doesn't look yellowed.

Wouldn't think u could make much re selling if paying £40 as the ps2's are worth nothing. It's only the dreamcast that's interesting in that bundle.

Anyone know if u can play the mega drive on a 46 inch led TV or will I have to buy an old portable TV
I've been wanting one for ages loved my mega drive and Sega Saturn back in the day. Robocop vs terminator on Megadrive was one of my fave games ever :D

IF it has a scart socket should be ok (RGB scart even better) or an analogue tuner but pic quality would be dire. Play my MD2 (and other stuff) on a 37" Panasonic LCD.

ShiWarrior if you can get it for a tenner then go for it. People selling tend to think retro is priceless because its old and people buying think it is overpriced, so buing to sell = a tricky medium.

Thanks, it has a scart but it's a fairly newish Samsung led so as u say the picture might not look very good. Might get an old crt portable for a few quid to give it the authentic retro experience. :D

It may sound silly but my 16 bit stuff looks pretty sharp via RGB scart on a 37" LCD. It's the later stuff that looks a bit "smeary" (PS2 looks awful via composite.Only have a scart for Gamecube but even that looks a bit meh). Getting my first LCD is what killed my PS2 love, was playing San Andreas at the time and didn't finish it because it looked so bad. Not long after got X360.

Pick up a ps2 component cable if your tv has inputs and welcome back the ps2 love :)

I'm running a Sony 42" and component looks brilliant

Cable was £3.49 on bay

Finally got round to replacing the batteries today, gonna have to put some hours aside for these beauties.

Also, big thanks to GIBURROWS for the scan, my Micro Machines finally has a home. :)

Are mint NES's with a boxed copy of super mario world worth anything?

My dad gave me one he found in a skip. Still works perfectly :)

Started buying a few bits and bobs to get me started.

Already had a Playstation 1, which is one of my favourite consoles.

Bought a Megadrive with the HD graphics written on it, which I'll probably sell on now. Since I'm waiting on another one that's already been modified to except all carts and run at full screen 60Hz. I Should've bought one of those to start with, it's also is one of the original Megadrives with HD graphics written on it.

A few games I've picked up as well. There's a bit of a shmups theme going on.

Try local charity shops, carboots or even Cash Conveters or similar.

I agree with high eBay prices, plus most sellers think everything they sell is mint, when the reality is most of it is tat.

Managed to get one on Ebay that finished mid afternoon.
£51 plus postage boxed, non yellowed. Far from a bargain, but cheaper than the usual £70-£80 plus postage they go for.
My justification is I was in hospital yesterday and am feeling a bit sorry for myself :p.

I like to go round charity shops, but most will not sell electricals.
I did get Mario 3 and Yoshi's Cookie for a quid each from one though last year and they were boxed too! I did post about them here.

Cash converters in Longton (Stoke) is dire with no good retro stock. It is full of the dregs of society - Jobless, alcoholics, gamblers, all exchanging their latest stolen Xbox. One of the women who works there told me she frequently gets people showing up at opening time absolutely steaming drunk.

Back on topic. I picked up Resistance 3 for £2.49 today pretty good nick.

It's the same at CEX, but at least you can order online and avoid the worst of the chavs. A lot of their PS2/GameCube stuff is much cheaper than eBay.

Off to the local carboot on Sunday and to see what I can find.

My modded Megadrive arrived yesterday. Works by holding the reset button to change between PAL/NSTC/J-NSTC and the power LED changes colour for each region.

Sonic full screen and full speed. :D

So I've got a Megadrive to get rid of now, as well as a boxed original PlayStation. Up for trade in the MM.

nes go for about 20-30 quid regular.

if you just starting collecting don't pay over the odds for wanting items or rose tinted vision. it gets very dear, very quickly doing this.

most stuff isn't rare yet.unless collecting obscure items.

remember just because something is listed at a price don't mean its worth that. ;)

carboots/flea markets/charity shops are the best.ebay you can find odd cheap lots but everyone watches it now so not as good as it was.

anyone heard about this new console called "mini-emu" ?

all retro consoles in-one
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sumbodesign/mini-emu-all-in-one-retro-game-console-raspberry-p

Why do people fund these things? It's just a recased Raspberry Pi with customised open source software! Plus, the whole principle of it relies on emulation and therefore the piracy of other's intellectual property, but that's ignored in the name of making a few quid.

As someone who still actively develops for an old 8-bit (hardware and software) I tend to see these things as a bit of an insult, purely trying to cash in on the retro scene - seen so many over the years.
