Upon looking at my PS1 I thought it was bigger than the original PS1 I got rid of, and found out mine is the SCPH-1001 model.

That's the same one as I had back in 1995, which I don't have anymore. Just the smaller PSONE, which I don't really need with having too many PS2's and 3's. But you only get that start up logo and sound with the original machine.

Anyone here going to Play Expo this weekend? I ended up selling most of collection a few years back (CD system collection anyway) I'm starting to slowly re-buy various PS1 and DC titles though

The wife has taken up Animal Crossing on the DS again so I was going to get the 3DS version... £30+ still? 
Secondhand is cheaper but not by much, do 3DS games work OK if you sell them on or is there a registration part now? Cheers.
