As for the Spectrum. I think the old school computers are the one thing I think I'd rather emulate. No loading times and not having to play with a keyboard.
I had a Texas Instruments TI994A in the mid 80's and it's the only system I don't have any nostalgia for.
It may also be possible to add more games via the USB port and some kind of web update. I don't see why they'd use a USB port just to supply power. I'm guessing USB requires a licence fee, so why include it if they didn't at least want the option to use it for data?
What no PARSEC?
There's only a fee if it carries data, and a USB power supply make selling it in many countries a lot easier.
Plus people can power the system directly from their TV or another console instead of taking up a plug socket.
