What's the console between the Dreamcast and 360? I don't remember having one of those.....:p

If you can consider 2004 'retro' then this has to be the best ever retro quote.

"My name is Reggie, I'm about kicking ***, I'm about taking names, and WE'RE about making games"

Just remembered this old quote after being linked to a video of Reggie saying it at E3 2004. I am sure he said it again in 2009 in an interview but I can't find the video anywhere :(

Are the Japanese megadrives worth anything? It's just I've got about 9 megadrives, 2 of which are Japanese versions (wasn't aware they were until I saw this thread)...

yeah they are in good nick (boxed) as they play games better than pal faster hrtz and you dont need a convertor.

i think they look better aswell.

cant remember which but u could file the sides of the megadrive cart slot without a convertor to play any region games :D as it was only the cart shape which was different.

Finding my retro collection and this thread has given me the bug to collect more (I've never bought anything has all been owned by me or another family member.)

I'm off down to my local car boot sale to have a rake around, see if I can find something for my collection or some gems to stick on ebay.

My N64 has died :( Switched it on yesterday for a play and the power light didn't come on. So, went to check the fuse in the plug and discovered that wire had been wrapped around the fuse essentially bypassing it! I think that the previous owner could have been doing that because the console was faulty in some way and kept blowing fuses.

So guys, when you get a console from eBay or anywhere else, check the plug just to be on the safe side!

We need more photos of everyones collections.

You've only had it couple of weeks haven't you? :(

Is it the entire console? Or perhaps just he power supply that's gone?

Yeah, bought it the end of feb :(
I'm not sure but i don't want to risk getting a new power supply and have it blow because the console is faulty or vice versa. I was playing on it on thursday and it was fine then, no signs of any prolems at all
