Retro console and games thread

Had to give one the machines a work a clean the other day..

they don't don't build them like that anymore, makes a change from dell desktop units.

Also found these whilst having a clear out no idea if they work, we've got nothing to test them with :(

 
Nice find. Easiest way to test the MVS board is a supergun, you can pick them up on eBay. You'll need the extra kick harness for the other boards though.
 
Odds on those CPS2 boards will have suicided, especially if they have just been in storage, the one slot and mvs carts will prob be fine though, they are bullet proof !

Never knew those things existed, doubt my boss would be interested in testing them though.

To be honest I'd be amazed if any of it works, seeing as I found all of it in a bin bag underneath a load of old carpet tiles :(
 
Hopefully your right, my boss is currently trying to sell it on to a supplier. it'll be a shame if it ends up dumped in the bin like our tekken 5 cabinet.

I'd be interested in the MVS stuff if he's thinking of selling, damn shame I've already ordered a Slot 1 board, can you tell which type of board that is btw? But if he's selling cheap, I'd take it for another project.

Also interested in the games, not really my sort of genre, but be nice to add them to the collection.
 
I think its a neo mv1f. If he can't shift it I'll ask, he might put it up on the jamma forums.

And as for monstrous behaviour, I nearly cried when he scrapped a fully working point blank cabinet :eek::(
 
Mainly due poor takings, but he did also want the monitor chassis for spares. I believe he did try to sell it but courier costs caused the sale to fall through.

That was the last decent cabinet we had.
 
Damn shame. :(

Also a damn shame I'm all the way down on the SE coast, would like to pop in and see if you boss would sell me any salvage. :p
Was checking out some of the amusements along the coast where I am during the summer, didn't see anything that could be described as an arcade game :(
