So after finding all my old consoles i decided that i needed to pick up a decent CRT as they looked awful on my LCD tv.
This is what i ended up getting for £10! Sony Trinitron 21" with stereo soundRGB looks stunning through it. Just means i need to get RGB cables now for the majority of my systems. I have a NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Dreamcast and hopefully arriving this week an Japanese Megadrive. Me and my young Son can now enjoy some old retro games
Got to say, i'm pretty chuffed with it!
It's on the Dreamcast . It's the only system I have an rgb cable for. I had just got the tv home in the picture and was just testing.
I have a room which runs under the stairs. It's actually a decent size, perfect for a little retro corner![]()
...if you can get the DC hooked up via VGA (most likely to your LCD TV). This will offer the best DC picture quality possible
Damn Re-loaded looks naff, even for a PS1 game (played via PS2 w/component).
I'm tempted to get a VGA cable for my Dreamcast as they're only a tenner on the bay. Im not sure how many games support it though...
Im using the component cable on my ps2 and it is so much better than the AV cable! I think a few ps2 games support 480p, I know GH 2 does...
right....now I have learnt how to use the internet....
My freebie from today.....proper chuffed!

Nice
If you can get the DC hooked up via VGA (most likely to your LCD TV). This will offer the best DC picture quality possible (well short of VGA to HDMI upscaling and/or emulation). RGB is still good mind, and will be better on the CRT than the LCD TV.
I love the SN Pro pad for the snes but sadly mine from back in the day was looking a little worse for wear so I decided to give a fresh coat of pain, it looks stunning now!

Got one of these in my box o snes, might have to dabble at doing the same. How hard was it to get to pieces?
Also what type of paint you use if you don't mind me asking![]()
