When I got my mail today I wasn't expecting two free megadrive controllers and as such I'm so thankful for what you have done. Expect some free games your way today trough steam as thanks!

:) What's your steam name bud?

Final day traveling around Europe, in Belgium at the mo before I head back to the UK tomorrow. Thought I try my luck to see if there were any retro stalls at the Blankenberg Markets.

Found one stall which had a lot of SNES, MegaDrive and PS1 games. None of them were priced up so I asked the guy how much some of the games were.

PS1, Legend of Dragoon, £80!!
SNES, Yoshi's Island, £45!
PS1, Final Fantasy 7 and 8 £35 each!

I had to walk away, clearly this cheeky guy was adding an extra 25% onto the already inflated ebay prices. Wouldn't of mind much if they were in a suitable condition but the cases were broken and the SNES games were unboxed.

I looked on ebay recently for a PS1 FF7, they go cheap now, I thought these were rare or something?

FF7 was never rare, it went platinum.. It's just that people who normally owns it don't sell it and resellers grab any cheap copy to sell on at a profit, it's like how people post rare Mario.. It's a brand/IP that even a non gaming person knows.

Mate! that is a find for a tenner. Brilliant work. I have only ever seen one in the flesh before, was £100 at the time (we are talking years back) in virgin megastore in Amsterdam lol

This little thing turned up today.

Was in really good condition minus the missing sticker. Got it really cheap also.

Going to do the AV mod on it and get a little TV to play it on hahaha :D

Wow cool, I love the famicoms, nice tiny little console! Did you get round to your PS One mod yet? I have a one chip on its way from a chap on the assembler forums and I'll pick up a console when I can find a nice clean example for a decent price. It looks like a nightmare to fit though so many tiny solder points arrgh.... Good luck with the AV mod to the famicom, do you think you can get a repo sticker from somewhere?

Decided to do some rummaging in the attic today, and found this little beast.

I haven't got the chip yet. You get it from Bad_ad84? I need to order one from him along with a new Battery holder for my Dreamcast as the battery has died.

The mod doesn't look to difficult. As you say just the small points. Get some flux for the points and the solder will quickly melt on to them, oh and a nice steady hand :) Let me know how you get on. As for the label, i haven't been able to find a repo one yet. I might put some posts up looking for one to be salvaged off a junk machine. Someones bound to have one. :D

32" Sony Trinitron was just £5 and it's perfect-o for what I need in that room. I have two Dreamcasts, once I had since 1999 and one I bought brand new and is still sealed.

well after seeing all the awesome collections i thought id finally start digging some of my retro stuff out of the loft, then i realised just how much of it I have

my latest acquisition and my fave when i was growing up, the Amstrad CPC464 with the original half height keys :D

this belonged to my dad and felt light years ahead of the 464 at the time

C64 in original box along with CPC464 CPC6128 DMP200 Amiga 500 kickstart 1.3 Amiga 500+ kickstart 2.04 & Cheetah Joystick :D

and of course some games to go with the C64 and Amigas

thats just a little snippet of the collection, theres loads more up there LOL

Think I'm going to sell my XRGB Mini Framemeister, doesn't really seem to like my TV that much and the quality improvement seems minimal at best.

Or I just don't have the eyes to appreciate it properly, like buying £1000 pound stereo, when I'm just as happy listening on my Sony Walkman :p.

Do wish I had space like some of you for a little "Retro Gaming Corner", so I could at least get myself a CRT, but sadly space is lacking, unless I use the garage, loft or shed, and they're all very "weather permitting" type of affairs .
