Retro console and games thread

This little lot has been on FB all day for £50. I wasn't interested at first but asked for a closer pic of the games anyway... :D

Sold listings suggests that Probotector is around £20 cart only. Even so, Dynamite Heady, Sonic 3 and Super Fantasy zone are decent games as well, so it's fairly decent price. Assuming you get the AC adapter and at least one official controller. I can't make out the third cart down.

I won a Sega Classics Collection (the cheapest way to get Gunstar Heroes) today that was bundled with Psycho Pinball and Burning Force for £26.

I've also got Thunder Force 2 on the way.

Yeah it is tricky putting a price on cart only MD games. I personally don't rate them and wouldn't want them in my collection.

I think I can see the £20 one you mentioned but I can also see at least two that have gone for £50, so who knows. There's also a lot of reproduction ones on eBay which confuses matters.

Either way I think I done good and yes, it came with a RGB scart lead, 2 controllers, a gun and power lead.

My neighbor seems to enjoy a bit of retro gaming and a few weeks ago he told me he had a snes he does not use as hes a sega man.

Being a kind neighbor I told him i was interested even though I already have a snes. Anyhow the other night he handed me this and i asked him how much without even looking at it and he told me he put it on retro trader and most people said £150 So i gave him £120.

not sure if it was cheap or not but never mind

Nice block of cheese :-)

Seems like a fair price. couple of good games in that selection. Pads and cables. I used to have that carry case when i was a kid also!

Its the bromine in the plastic reacting to UV lighting from my understanding. If its been on a desk in front of the TV or a lamp most of its life thats what causes it.

My mate was over last night and had a quick go on the dreamcast on the crt tv, first thing he said was the image seemed to flicker and was hurting his eyes! I did think that when i first fired it up on the white sega screen but when i sat back and played sonic i didnt notice it. The megadrive doesnt do it

Could this just be a bad cable? It came with a scart not even sure if its an rgb one or not!

Also anyone here collect ps2 games? I dont but i have a few from when i had a backwards ps3

Mgs3, GT4, platinum version of ff10,and mgs2. All complete, if anyone here covers the postage ill get them off to you next time im in town

This is probably down to his eyes being used to flat panels where flicker is not visible normally. Remember the dreamcast will be displaying a 480 interlaced image at 50hz when booting the DC.
