That box is a reproduction box, about £10 from eBay including the inner tray. Pretty good quality and only for display purposes. Not a massive SNES fan, never had originally and really have it to play the RType games and Super Aleste. I'll probably get Axelay at some point and maybe a few others but that's about it.

My favourite R Type is the original. I had it on the Master System back in the days of only having one game at a time so I played it a lot.

Our charity shops don't ever have anything, apart from the odd PS2 sports games.

Ghost and goblins is a great conversion on the GBA and it's just as hard as any other version. Took me a long time to complete it

Having a hell of a time trying to get workbench and Amiga OS to install on a flash cart.. I have no idea what I'm doing, maybe too retro for me but I thought an upgrade would be easy.. this is making me mad.

Few more local pickups both off facebook one off a local site the other off game trader but he was local so i went to pick it up:

£50 for this

And £35 for this complete with manual

NeoGeo Pocket has a fantastic joypad, probably the only retro hand held I'd be interested in collecting for, since the only one I've ever had is the PS Vita. So I don't have any nostalgia for previous hand helds.

I think that Neo Geo pocket has the best form factor, that joystick is perfect. If only the GameBoy had that. Neo Geo should have been more successful, if only they had a bigger/wider range of games.

Nice NeoGeo Pocket collection there Rebel=UK=. You need to get your hands on Snk vs Capcom: Match of the Millennium (the fighting game not the card battler). The best game on the handheld, a rare game though.

Got a retrogames night coming up over christmas. So I have been going through some of my handhelds to make sure they work and repair them. So far so good, as these work.

My original Gameboy has a few issues

so time to get it on the repair bench.

yeah really pleased with the Neo Geo pickup , looking to add more game like dark arms looks like a fun game.

Went to local carboot today and found same gamecube games £2 each and the gamecube itself with gameboy player on bottom for £5. This week has been a good week

19" generic monitor

All pulled from random computers so didn't cost me anything. But plays everything up to street fighter V even if it does have to be on 720p but it was mostly done for mame and older generation games as an all in 1.

I built my prototype at the weekend out of cardboard. Going for a full two player 8 button config on an old 24" DELL monitor.

It's going to be powered by a Pi3.
