Hi Guys,

I'm replacing my Mazda CX-7 with a BMW X5 on Wednesday and whilst the BMW has a shed load of spec not even available on my Mazda, there is one thing I'll certainly miss which is the reversing camera.

I recall seeing a thread by Fox somewhere where he had a camera hooked up to a third party stereo system but I'm wanting to know if I can get a camera added to my factory system (car has media package) that will look/work similarly to OEM?

If anyone can comment / point me in the direction as to somewhere I can get this done it would be most appreciated!

Cheers, Jon

Took delivery of this now and desperately need to get a rear parking camera added, you don't realise how much you'll miss something till it's gone :(

Anyone got any experience/advice on this?

It's got those as standard but we've been spoilt with choice in our other cars and have both (My Audi S4 I upgraded to get both and our previous Mazda CX-7 which the X5 is replacing only came with a camera so I had sensors retro fitted).

I know for the e46 m3 they do a camera which fits in one of the number plate lights and connects into the aux in of the video system. Not sure if the newer models will be that simple or whether you'll have to have someone code the car to accept the camera.
