post your retro gaming snes experiences here :)

just been playing Topgear vintage 1992 ;) awesome game and very addictive, \

off to play shadowrun

I've got a SNES sat at the other side of the room to me now, Sensi Soccer is currently in there, but I also have the choice of:

Zelda
Donkey Kong Country
Street Fighter 2
Sensible Soccer
Mario Kart
Starwing
Mario All Stars Collection
Super Mario Bros
Tiny Toons Adventures \o/
& ISS Deluxe

:D

pppft

plug pc into tv and add joypads :)

hey presto instant snes ;)

oh and you can play 2 player mariokart over the net :)

£55 for a US import of Street Fighter 2 a week before the console was even released in the UK. £20 for the converter to be able to use it.

Can't imagine shelling out that sort of money to play one game nowadays but it was worth every penny.

yup been there done that

cept it were 60 quid for sf2 turbo and another 20 for the converter ;)

Ah, the halcyon days of the Super NES.

I remember hitchhiking about 20 miles as a 14 year old to my nearest EB store to take part in the Teletext "Digitiser" Starwing Challenge. I didn't win but I did get my name up in shining lights on Teletext. Got touched up by a weirdo on the way back and walked the last 10 miles after I made him stop but it was all worth it :p

You obviously never played a SNES with mates in its hayday or you'd know it simply doesn't compare to emulators at all.

Never has a SNES

Got a NES though!!

Got loads of games and tbh they in away seem more fun that most of today's games to me *shrugs*

Anyway i have;

Mario 1, 2 + 3

Airwalf
Bomberman

James Bond
Kirbys Adventure

It's called nostalgia.
What are you talking about?

Maybe I misread but what you seemed to be getting at was that emulators don't run as good as the SNES originals, so therefore it's not the same experience as it was.

What has nostalgia got to do with that?

Blowing in the cart to make it work, fiddling with the power cable so that the system turned on and fighting over who got the controller with the dodgy R button. That's nostalgia and something emulators just don't do.

Sorry if I didn't make myself clear enough for you.

Always preffered Top Gear 2 myself. "You might be missing some of the benefits, that stereo can provide" :D

Always partial to a bit of Sim City as well, although I was rubbish at it back in the day (spent my money way to fast).
