Retro / Older games forum?

Thought just occurred to me - seemed like a good idea. There aren't a massive amount of posts on old gamers / retro gaming in here but that may be because it's 'PC Forum'? There are occasional posts and from what I've seen a lot of gamers are interested in this area.

What do you think - worth suggesting?

I think many people on these forums have lost interested in older generation gaming. I for one would like to talk about my Amiga with other people, but i just don't think there's that much of a member base on here for that sort of thing anymore.

Yep there just isn't enough posts to warrant it in my view.
It took enough persuading to get the Console stuff separated, I really can't see the admins going for this.

I also think it would be an unneccesary dilution of the forum. We have a few nostalgic or informative retro threads from time to time, but it's not like they are clogging up the forum too much and pushing other threads off the front page (unlike the old days when xbox360 or WoW was everywhere you looked).

In fact one could argue that FPS games are more deserving of their own forum than retro games, based on the number of posts/interest (not that I want that either).

I really don't think there is enough activity on these forums to warrant a Forum just about retro gaming, nice idea though

I just start to sob when I think of all those old, gold, games I used to play years ago which are long gone now. Doubt it really needs a specific board and it will dilute the contributions here giving more ammo to the console boyos that they are ahead on post count!
