Half shells are for girls. Original shelltoes, of which I have a rather battered pair that I picked up in the '80s are where it's at.

I am quite keen on a pair of adidas zx series at the moment. Have one pair of grey ones but they are great trainers and super comfy.

Other ones I am looking at are the Nike Air Max Light range and Air Max 90s

mmmm now there is a trainer I have a lot of time for. Round our way was a bit of a thing going round in the summer they came out to burn the air pockets with magnifying glasses on those that could afford them.

Might have to track some down...

Check out the shoe stalls in selfridges. You can find lots of rare chucks ad van and I'm sure i've seen some older style nikes. And the prices aren't to bad in the stalls even though it is selfridges.

There are several general retro shops in the convent garden soho area but you'd probably be bying some decent conditio 2nd hand jobbies from there.

Quite a few good shoe stores in Camden too which are likely to have this kinda stuff.

If you want some unique trainers then customise your own on the Nike ID website, prices aren't too bad either imo.

I just got some nice Elite Vintage Nikes from size? on Carnaby Street, its the best size store by far imo. Also there is a boutique trainer store in between Carnaby Street and Newburgh Street, seems like just the store you are after, but trainers are pretty much £100+

Aye, I did look at that but couldn't find a design that would go nice with jeans n a jumper. They all seemed more suited to tracksuit bottoms or jeans and a t-shirt.

There's a place i keep walking past in St Anne's Court, Soho. Looks like they do lots of jazzy old-style Adidas/Nike etc. Might be worth a gander.

Ah Gimp, I've been wanting to ask you for a while . . Do you know of any places bar fleabay still stocking the Adidas end to end range? Or even something remotely similar? Reasonably priced ofc . .

I really liked them, not sure why I never picked up a pair.

On the subject of trainers does anyone know where I can get a pair of these for a reasonable price? Cheapest I've seen them for is £275 :eek:
