retrofit parking sensors

I bought some parking sensors off the bay for less than a tenner and although advertised as working range of 30cm to 2m, the warning tone actually becomes continuous at 60cm, which quite frankly is useless.

Can anyone recommend some sensors that work at 30cm or closer
 
I mean they look pretty decent to me, but I imagine you guys sprayed the sensors to colour code them?

Because if not, i'd say they'd look a little less pretty decent. Unless your car was black maybe.
 
The ones I bought were silver, and the colour match to my old car's silver bumpers was more than pretty decent.
 
In my experience, about 40CM. I've not known many OEM parking sensors to beep in a non-continuous fashion any closer than that really.

The buzzer was very loud in my boot, but I taped some foam over it which quietened it down nicely.
 
The set linked to is what I installed into the other half's E46. They are indeed "pretty decent".

Seems to go to a continuous beep around the same distance as my factory fit Audi A4 PDC, just over a foot.

I measured my factory fit mondeo ones and they go continuous at 20cm
