Evening all, off the back of this thread, my brother has just ordered this lot. He's made a few uneducated adjustments and gone for the following;

Total : £1,483.88 (includes shipping : £12.50).

The PSU is perhaps the only thing I'd be inclined to change for an EVGA unit with 10yr warranty and I'm not a fan of the bayres.

What are you opinions? Any thing that needs swapping out first thing tomorrow before it's shipped?

Thanks :)

As was raised in the thread, does a bay res (with pump) work correctly in a 540? (due to the sideways bays), i wouldn't of risked it.

Id of also gone for a 650W PSU (seasonic, superflower, EVGA) and a GTX 780 or a 290 (non-X), the 4GB 770's are a waste IMO.

I also don't think the WC 'kits' are good value, some of the parts are cheap.

I really don't know why he didn't go for this:

He was desperate to order today for it to be here for the weekend and couldn't get hold of me to send him a link to this thread :/

The bayres thing we aren't sure on but I think he's down for a bit of modding.

I'll show him this thread and see if we can get the order amended :)

Thanks for your input :)

Ah its a CAD machine, only skim read the other thread! :p

I think moving away to a separate res might be a better idea, I used the EK DCP 4.0 pump with the res bolted on.

Fair does,

I think if you phone OCUK they may be able to sort you out. Try in the morning. :)

Yeah I've got an EK4.0/res combo and can't fault it :)

So change the card (to what?) PSU to an EVGA and see about swapping the bayres for a d5 (EK 4.0 OoS)

YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-D5 Vario X-RES 100 (incl. pump) £105.95
1 x EVGA SuperNova NEX 650W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £79.99
Total : £195.54 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Perfect adjustment imo.

The res/pump will need to go in the PSU compartment though. You can use a separate combo if you want it on display. Any non combo tube res up to 6cm diameter will fit between the GPU and window like this:

Appologies for the blurry giant picture (phone is what i had in arms reach), had to put it in spoilers.
