Return of the 1050ti

They've consistently been the only card widely available at not a terrible price for awhile now, so looks like that won't change.

what are the chances of AMD relaunching the 570/580, 4/8gb? Would certainly ease the stock problem a bit at the low end
They must have exhausted their stock in the last mining crazy, surely? Would be surprised if they had thousands of them kicking about still.

i imagine cripto is bigger than pc gaming scene. so we are doomed regardless.

doomed if you cant wait a couple of months, the 2080ti was easy to get after a couple of months, the 3000 series just seems worse because corona, people have 0 patience, amazes me that people are so desperate to upgrade from a 2080 or better, its like a new series comes out and everyone thinks the current card they have is ****, then when they have the new card they go back too playing games that run on a potato anyway lmao

lmao :D ^^^

Its a good basic card but I dont think they are "bringing them back" same as the 2060's. Rather they never went away really. I've got a feeling that stocks of both have been found somewhere and this is what we are seeing come through the supply chain. I cant see them pushing the 3xxx aside to manufacturer older GPU's. 1050ti were a staple card for system builders and to some extent so was the 2060 if you looked at certain magazine retailers.

Just a hunch but I reckon they have found a load of oem cards or GPU's that were destined for system builders but never made it.

Was thinking of getting one of these to complete my build, or a GT 1030, what do you think? I can then sink some money into a higher end card once stock comes back in...

Difference is gaming at 8fps vs 16fps, which is not good enough 1050ti is minimum you want to be able to game. Better look at older cards rx 470 or rx 480 IMO
