Return to esports?

Hi,

Hopefully this one will be quick!

I'm looking to get back into PC gaming! I started PC Gaming in 2007 and then between 2009 and 2011 i played competitive esports (CoD4 ProMod). However since 2011 i haven't played a single game and no longer have a gaming rig etc.

It is something i am looking to get back into, my question to you guys here is are there currently any games out there on PC that are played competitively like Promod CoD4 was?

I've done some research, but from what i have seen Overwatch isn't my style of game.

I dont fancy shelling out on a new rig if i'm not going to get the use out of it.

I actually think age is a factor in competitive games. I'm 32 now and I'm not nearly as sharp as I was when I was a young counter strike addict. I'm still capable and hold my own, but younguns these days have a real edge.

Haha, yeah true. But the young-guns don't have lives outside of gaming. Some of us have to hold down a career and obligations outside of work. They'll soon learn.
