After lengthy medical treatment which kept me from my PC for long periods of time I got an urge to return to the first console I ever used and the first 'video' game I ever played which was Alien Trilogy.

I have now got the console and the game along with Res 1,2 3. Dino crisis 1, All alone, Tomb Raider, Exhumed and one or two others that people have dragged from the backs of cupboards or lofts.

I am still impressed with a couple of the games as they are genuinely scary, the dogs jumping through the window in resident Evil !, the Sound track which heightened the dark atmosphere of the game.

I am going to be confined to bed for a week of so and am looking forward to some retro gaming.

Anyone else dragged out an old console to do the same?

Ultimate 2 player game tbh never get bored of that pool table f1 cars track.

It was all about the 8 player with this game - 2 people per controller. All the cars just accelerate automatically - all you could do was steer. We used to have it in the sixth form block at my school..... back when I was a youngster :(

I still have a copy of the game somewhere, and point blank with the gun. Not sure if the console works though.

Happy carefree days......

If you like Resident Evil then get a Gamecube (can be had for a fiver) and get the 2002 Resident Evil remake. It is excellent and is quite different to the PS1 original, but is of the same style. It is the last Resident Evil game before it all changed from RE4 onwards.
Truely an excellent modern classic.
