Anyone know roughly how long it takes OverClockers to test faulty hardware? (memory in my case). So far its been 8 days since I sent it and I haven't heard back from them apart from the confirmation of receival email.

Im asking on the forums to get a general impression of other peoples experiences when it comes to returning faulty goods.

Many thanks.

I recently returned some memory that arrived faulty. I had a new set in my hand in exactly 1 week which included the wait due to the weekend and bankholiday. I sent back via royal mail first class registered and the next day they recieved it and later that day they sent an email to say a new set was dispached. I Included a detailed description of whats not working and how I tested it. Maybe it was determined they didnt need to test and just sent another set which thankfully works without issue. I was worried it was mem not compatable with my board.

same problem here, i returned 1 of 2 sets of my Geil 6400 last week, they recieved it on wednesday and ive yet to get any further notice regarding my refund. I asked on tuesday if there was a problem and was told last thing that day that itd be another day or so as they are busy...still heard nothing :(

id like to know how many Geil sets have in fact been returned...these units were hard recommended on these forums (and a great price too 3 weeks ago), I wonder how many are being rma'd.....

48 hours eh....pah

Well my 3rd set has been sent back to Geil I was just sick of having to keep going back to OcUK, it's a 100 mile round trip for me although they were great replacing them, my problems Geil because they should make sure they good before sending them out, although I'm fed up with it I feel sorry for OcUK after all they want to sell good gear.

I think they are doing their best under the pressure they must be having after all not all stes returned will be faulty and they have to test every set to be sure, just glad I don't have to do all that lot.

I'm sure they will deal with all the RMA's in the fastest time they can, they were extremely helpful to me.

yeah kim, hope my next set is ok, bit frustrating having spent 1400 quid and first new build for 3 years and its sitting here 'waiting' lol
ill be sweating when I put them in though :)

I feel for you mate, I'm lucky I've 3 PC's but that's not the point it takes the fun out of it, like having a toy for Christmas and having no batteries, I'll keep my fingers x'd for you mate.
