I am having to return my 360 due to the dreaded 3RL.

I bought the console about 18 months ago so the warranty is out of date, but me being the cheeky chappy I am and as I have never registered it, when she said it would cost £60 due to it being out of warranty I said I only bought it a month ago.

Now she then said the repair would be free, but I would have to attach a copy of the receipt with the box to prove this.

Do you reckon I should try my look and return it without receipt?

I think you get 3 years for the 3 RL, so therefore the repair should be free of charge

ha so should I just return it without receipt then.

Also what about for other probs, like disk tray not opening e.t.c is that only 12 months

edit: ignore about disk tray, I've read the T&C's

Phone Microsoft, they should arrange collection.
I wouldn't wory about the tray, you'll probably get different one back anyway.

I phoned them and have my shipping details but they wanted to charge £60 for repair.

They said it would be free if I provide the receipt when I return it, but the receipt is 18months old so should I risk it and not send the receipt?

They were a little hessitant with mine. They made me do some "diagnostics". They asked me to power it up, and then tell them what colour light was on the power supply. I said green, and they said "OK, your console is broken - we will arrange for it to be repaired free of charge".
