Has anybody on here had any experience returning an item to Amazon that they have opened and used?

I've looked up their returns policy and they are happy to refund anything unopened for up to 30 days. Fine and dandy, except I've opened my product and used it, only to find it's completely crap and I'm not happy with it. Will they still take it back?

Here's their returns policy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=901888

It's not an item that isn't covered.

Was it purchased new?
Is it under 14 days?
You can return it under the DSR if the above answers are yes. The unopened and unuesd part is poppycock.

I'm sure when I returned a camera to them last year there was a part of their explanations which implied an item was of insufficient quality or something.

Try the process out and see what else is said. :)
This sounds like good news. I'll just give it a go and see what happens.

Aha! If I click through the process but don't complete it I get this range of options:

That's what I needed to see. I'm not quite ready to send it back yet. I need to veryify it's not me being a spaz first, but I'm pretty sure it's the machine. I've got until November 5th :)
