Returning an Xbox 360?

Cousin bought an Xbox 360 from a store that rhymes with tame but his friend is selling an Xbox 360 Premium with 5 games for £200. (friend discount I presume)

He opened the 360 but barely played it, can he get a refund? Was only bought on Tuesday.

Hasn't been able to ring, so asked if I knew and now I'm here.

Yea they will take it back no probs if hes still got the reciept. Just say he got 2 for his birthday, one of this mum one of his dad, no probs. Use to do it with the **** bday/xmas presents i got off my nan LOL.

Really? Even though it isn't sealed? Good job if so!

You should be alright, I think most stores carry a 30-day return policy where by the product doesnt have to be defected in order for it to be refunded. If it looks fairly untampered with and you have the reciept you should be fine!

Good good! Alternatively I could just use the sealed Xbox 360 in my house and swap that with my cousins Xbox & box, but would that be fraud? Technically the shop is getting the same product back, but sealed. (Unless they have a barcode on the box, I guess they do)

Oh well I will ring for the idiot tomorrow.

Just guessing, but wouldn't they re-scan the barcode on the box when returning ? (if it has one, that's specific to a certain store?) :eek:

Surely that wouldn't match up, bought from different stores and all.

They won't take it back if its opened so just use the sealed one you have and they will give him the cash back no problems.

As long as the barcode on the box is the same as the one you are returning then you will be fine

Barcodes are universal so as long as it is uk stock and the same model you will be fine (I.E both have HDMI etc.)
